Obituary of Ramonita Colon Marrero
Ramonita "Milsa" Colon Marrero, 69, passed into eternal rest January 12th, 2014, at St. Vincent's Hospital. Mrs. Colon was born on June 18, 1944 in In Villalba, Puerto Rico to (Ramon and Natalia Marrero. She came to Connecticut from Puerto Rico in 1971 to start a new life. She was employed at Magneteck Universal for 32 years. Milsa's generosity, amazing heart and incredible strength were an inspiration to her family. She was known as a mother to many and was a woman who always put caring for others ahead of her own needs and wants.Milsa is survived by her husband Ramon Colon; her daughter and son-in-law Carmen Colon and Andres Ayala; her son and daughter-in-law Ramon Colon and Iraida Negron; her son Luis Colon; and her son Wilfredo Colon-Marrero. She is also survived by her many grandchildren Eric and daughter-in-law Danielle, GianCarlo, Ramon, Wilfredo, Crystal, Koriana, and great grandchild Aiden. She is also survived by her siblings Elpidia Marrero, Ana Marrero, Carmen Marrero de Pomales and Ramon Marrero as well as her loving sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2014 beginning at 9:00 A.M.at St. Mary's Church for a Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
