Obituary of Mercedes Segarra

Mercedes Segarra, age 65, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. She is the beloved wife of Julio Segarra. Mercedes was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Narciso Cruz and Matilde de Leon prior to locating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is the loving mother of Julio, Luis, and Omaira Segarra, Betsy Garner, and Ivette Capers ; and the caring grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
