Obituary of Samuel Padilla

Samuel Padilla Sr., age 67, entered into eternal rest at Bridgeport Hospital on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Maria Mateo. Samuel was born in Salina, Puerto Rico to Domingo Padilla and Maria C. David prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the loving father of Maritza, Cynthia, Samuel Jr., Shaun, Michelle, and Steven Padilla; and the caring grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Samuel is also survived by his sister, Josephina Gonzalez and many other family members and friends who will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 2014 beginning at 9:00 A.M.at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
