Obituary of Juan Mendez

Juan Mendez, age 93, currently of Meriden, CT, passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in his Meriden residence while surrounded by his family. Juan was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, but had relocated to the Meriden area many years ago. He is the son of the late Joaquin Mendez and the late Ursula Soto. He is the widower of the late Maria Mendez whom he is reunited with at last. He is survived by his sons Nelson Sr, Heliodoro Sr, Daniel Sr, Pascual, Marcial, Jose, Andre, and Francisco; his daughters Nilsa and Tina; 32 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. He is predeceased by his daughter Lucia. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Monday, December 30, 2013 from 7-9 P.M. at the Christian Pentecostal Church, 60 Liberty St, Meriden, CT 06450. Funeral Services have been schedule for Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Christian Pentecostal Church starting at 10:00 A.M. Followed by Interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden, CT.
