Obituary of Manuel Cruz

Manuel D. Cruz, age 83, currently of Naugatuck, CT, passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, CT; Manuel was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Manuel was a Nurse who worked at Bridgeport Hospital Emergency Dept. for many years. He was also a Paramedic who worked at the Bridgeport Ambulance Company serving many who needed care. Truly a man whom loved his fellow man and cared for the wellbeing of each. He is the widower of the Late Rosmarie Cruz; He is survived by his sons Manuel Cruz, Jr., Raymond Cruz, Jose M. Cruz, Jason A. Cruz, and Francisco Cruz; his daughters Donna M. Cruz, Carolyn Cruz, Roseanna Cruz and Tiffany York. twenty five grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 8, 2013 beginning at 5:00 P.M. Until 7:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT; Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, December 9, 2013 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. George's Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M.
