Obituary of Luis Rodriguez

Luis Rodriguez, age 88, currently of Easton passed away into the Peaceful Rest of the Lord on Wednesday, October 10, 2013 in his Easton residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Rodriguez; his wife of 46 years. Luis was born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico to the late Teodoro Rodriguez and the late Maria Rodriguez. He relocated to the Connecticut area in 1956 where he became employed at the Nancy Lynn Bakery for many years. He was recognized for his service in the U.S. Army and served in the Second World War. He is survived by his daughters Marianela Torres (Angelo) from Bridgeport, Nayda Torres from Bridgeport, Wanda Rosado (Fred) from Easton, Ivonne Barbiere (Joseph) from New Jersey; His nine grandchildren Gina, Janelle, Luis, Nannette, Sarah, Steven, Josephine, Frank and Louis; His eight great grandchildren Evan, Luis, Leila, Alex, Nick, Jonah, Jaden and Ethan, and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. The family will like to give a special thanks to the Nephrology Associates and Davita Bridgeport for their unparalleled care to our father. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 12, 2013 starting at 10:00 A.M. DIRECTLY at St. Ambrose Church, 461 Mill Hill Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, Followed by Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT. Calling Hours will be private at the convenience of the family.
