Obituary of Ruth Gerena

Ruth E. Gerena, age 67, of Stratford passed away into the Presence of the Lord on Sunday, June 30, 2013 in her Stratford residence while surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Ramon Cuevas and the late Georgina Lopez. She is survived by her husband Jose M. Gerena; her son Jose O. Gerena; her daughters Lydia E. Rodriguez, Maria Melendez, Ruth Rodriguez, and Mariluz Gerena; her 16 grandchildren; her 10 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 11-1 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport; Interment will follow at Park Cemetery.
