My heart is breaking knowing that Ricky has passed away. We grew up together as if we were cousins. Our families are very close. I remember a trip Rick and I made together. We packed up my Jeep to the top, we could barely see out the back window, and we left Bridgeport to make our way to Florida. I smile when I think of that trip, because I know I drove him crazy. With my punk rock music and horrible singing. Rick was a gentleman, he let me sing and sometimes would sing along. We laughed, and became even closer friends. His main concern was delivering me safely to my destination. He was a true gentleman always concerned about the people he loved, specially his mom. I miss him dearly and his wonderful smile. I pray that God will heal Toya's heart.On behalf of the Batista family, we love you all and share your sorrow.
