Obituary of Angel Marrero Ortiz

Angel Marrero, age 79, of Bridgeport, CT, Passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on Friday, February 8, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital. Angel was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago; He is an honorable Veteran who served this country in the Korean War in the 65th Infantry Army division as a field medic. He is the son of the late Tomas Marrero and the late Angela Ortiz. He is the beloved husband of Luz Vazquez whom he married almost 60 years ago; In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons Angel T. Marrero, Jorge Marrero, Jose M. Marrero, and Nelson Marrero; his daughters Luz Hernandez, Rosa Mejia, Jesusa Davila, Maribel Marrero, and Nancy Berrios; his sixteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
