Obituary of Marie Poirier Gallant

Marie Yvonne Poirier Gallant, age 88, most recently of Seymour, passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT; Marie was born in Rumford, Maine to the Late Nicholas J. Poirier and the late Diana Paulin before relocating to the Bridgeport area since the early 1950's. Marie is the beloved widow of the Late John A. Gallant; She had been employed as a school crossing guard for 35 years for the City of Bridgeport, Police Department before retiring. Marie is survived by her children Anne Marie ( Arthur ) Johnson of Windsor, New York, John W. ( Miriam ) Gallant of Bridgeport, CT and Daniel D. Gallant of Birdgeport, CT; her grandchildren Marlaine ( Anthony ) Scotto, Eric ( Alison ) Johnson, Jordan Gallant, Danielle Gallant, Kelly Gallant and Adrian Gallant; her great grandchildren Dominick, Vincent, Eleanor, Rylan and Azayla; her Siblings Leon (Yvette) Poirier of Rumford, Maine, Yvette Gallant, Joseph (Audrey) Poirier of Dalton, Mass, Ernest (Elizabeth) Poirier of Waltham, Mass; Sisters in Law Theresa Gallant of Mexico Maine, Ovella Poirier both of Mexico, Maine, Lillian Poirier of Rumford, Maine and a host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and freinds; She will be sadly missed by all. She was also predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Edgar; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( Peaceful Light Funeral Home ), 426 E.
