Obituary of Sidney Dixon

Sidney Dixon was born in Germania, Costa Rica on July 5, 1928. He lived to the age of 91, passing on January 30, 2020. Sidney had three brothers and one sister. He was the father of Howard, Damaris, Enrique, Carla, Danna and Troy. He is the grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 13 and leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Sidney was a longtime resident of the City of Bridgeport. He worked as a chef at the University of Bridgeport for many years, where he retired from in 1993. The family would like to thank everyone for their comfort and support during this difficult time. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608. Final disposition will be private. His journey has just begun. Don't think of him as gone away. His journey has just begun. Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today. How nothing but our sadness can really pass away. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.
