Obituary of Lucas Guzman Medina

Lucas Guzman Medina, age 91, entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Fairfield. He was born in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico; son of Benito Guzman and Ramona Medina. Lucas proudly served with the United States Army in the Korean War. During his service, he earned the Korean Service Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. After Lucas' service to our Nation, he went on to work at Sikorsky in Stratford and Bryant Electric in Bridgeport. He will be remembered as a social and friendly person, with the uncanny ability to strike up a conversation with anybody. He loved to dance and to sing, but most of all he was an ardent fan of the New York Mets, rarely missing a game. Lucas is the loving father of Nancy (Patrick) Teto of Shelton; the grandfather of Kevin and Jacob Teto; and the brother of Gilberto Guzman Medina. He is also survived by many other beloved nieces, nephews and family members that will sorely miss him. He was predeceased by his siblings Pedro, Julia, and Lucia Guzman Medina. Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home,) 426 E.
