Obituary of Ana Mercedes Robles

Ana Mercedes Robles, 97, Returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2019 in he Bridgeport residence. She was born in Lares, PR, daughter of Livorio Robles and Maria Lopez; prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area in 1972. Ana was a very sociable person, who loved being out and about, whether it was shopping or spending time with her loved ones. She was a fantastic storyteller with a phenomenal sense of humor. Ana loved baby dolls, which she would treat as her own children, sewing them outfits, bathing and taking care of them. More than anything, she loved her family, especially cooking for and spending time with them. She is the Loving Mother of Vicky Santana, Domingo (Juanita) Robles, Rosa (Jose) Oquendo, and Louis (Yolanda) Robles; the adoring grandmother of Annette Santana, Lillian Valentin, Angel Santana, Cristine Gonzales, Melisa Sigovich, Lisa Marie Oquendo, Louis Robles, Christopher Robes and Jovani Robles; the great-grandmother of 12; the great-great grandmother of 11, and the caring sister of Nilda Robles. Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2020 beginning at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Her interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery Fairfield, Conn.
