Obituary of Rita Reyes Fontanez

Rita Reyes Fontanez, age 80 of Norwalk, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 24, at St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of Federico Reyes Fontanez. Rita was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico on Apr. 25, 1932 to the late Juan Lovan Garcia and Juila Garcia Santana. She is the loving mother of Federico Reyes, Jr., Juan Reyes, David Reyes, Eleud Reyes, Maria Hernandez, Virginia Flores, Carmen Smith, Ruth Thomas, Evelyn Lyons, and Noemi Reyes; the step-mother of Elizabeth Reyes Ramos; grandmother of 31 and great grandmother of 11. Friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, Dec. 28, from 6 P.M. until church services have concluded at Parkway Assembly of God Church, 260 New Canaan Avenue, Norwalk. Her burial will take place on Saturday, departing promptly at 10 A.M. from Parkway Assembly of God Church, at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
