Obituary of Rafael Lugo

Rafael Lugo, age 73 of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital, on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Faustina Lugo; his wife of 37 years. He was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico; son of the late Juan Lugo and Estella Crespo prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago.

Rafael loved dancing, listening to classic salsa music and playing dominoes. He also devoutly attended church with his wife and loved spending time with his family.

Rafael is the loving step father of Roberto Santos, Mildred Cales, Miladys Cales and Migdalia Muniz; the grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and the brother of Miguel Lugo.

He was predeceased by his stepson, Norberto Cales.

Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home,) 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. A Funeral Service has been scheduled for 1 p.m. and his interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
