Obituary of Nancy Arguelles

Arguelles, Nancy-age 60, currently of Bridgeport passed away into the Glorious presence of the Lord on September 24, 2019, in her Residence. Nancy was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Pedro Louis Mendez and Irma Cuevas; where she resided her entire life.

Nancy was a woman full of power and energy, regardless of the challenges she faced, together with her spouse Jose Ramirez, she made it a point to keep going, inspiring the admiration of all who encountered her. She was a joy to be around and her contagious personality impacted whoever she met. Her home was open to all, she loved her family, her friends, her children, grandchildren and her stepchildren alike. Regardless of who you were, you were always welcomed and even if just to sit there and talk. She fought the good fight until her last breath, but now she rests from that which burdened her for so long. Doctors believed her time would never be so long, but she beat the odds, beat the predictions, beat the clock, and if you messed with her, she would "beat ya' down too." All joking aside but a drop to help you understand the wonderful sense of humor she had. She will be sadly missed by all.

Nancy leaves to cherish her memory her son Alexander Serrano ( Shirley ); her daughters Christina Mendez (Donald Hill), Jessina Whittington (Tanen), and Kesha Arguelles; 14 grandchildren; her siblings David Mendez, Hector Mendez, Madeline Amalbert, Irma Morton, Elizabeth Williams and Yvette Acevedo; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will sadly miss her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Migue Arguelles; granddaughter, Angel Lynn Arguelles and her brothers, Louis Mendez and Anibal Mendez.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 4263 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608.
