Obituary of Ausberto Martinez

Ausberto Martinez, age 78, the beloved husband of Alicia Martinez of Bridgeport has passed into the Glorious presence of the Lord on July 28, 2019 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT; Ausberto was born in Vieques, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the United States since 1984. Ausberto was a joyful man who loved first and foremost the Lord Jesus Christ. After serving the Lord he enjoyed his pass times visiting many who may be sick at hospitals or homes regardless of whether or not they were part of the church he attended. He loved playing dominos and spending quality time with his family at every possible moment he could. Many knew Ausberto because of his wonderful cooking talents and making some spectacular Pastelillos. He strived to make those around him smile with non stop jokes and contagious laugh. He was the life of every party. Ausberto had invested some time on the radio in Bridgeport's WDJZ 1530 AM when it was Radio Refugio but not only in Bridgeport, Yet in the US Virgin Islands. His goal on the radio was to share the wonderful good news of Jesus Christ to whomever would hear him. He loved company at his home and was an awesome host to whoever visited. Truly a heart of Gold which stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, many hearts are now broken, but they know, without a doubt, God only takes the best. Besides his wife Ausberto is survived by his children Ausberto Martinez, Jr., Juan C. Martinez, Rey F. Martinez, Carlos A. Martinez and Moises Martinez, Maritza Martinez, Clarissa Lisk and Celines Carcamo; 22 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, August 9, 2019 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (PEaceful Lgiht Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. A Funeral service will begin in the funeral home at 1:00 P.M.
