Obituary of Felicita Adames

Felicita Adames, age 91, Returned to the loving Arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at CT Hospice, Branford. She was born in Lares, Puerto Rico; daughter of the late Guillermo Adames and Santa Cruz prior to relocating to the New Haven area many years ago. Felicita lived full of joy and love, exemplifying Christ throughout her journey. She was always there to lend a helping, share a smile, or share in her delicious cooking. To her, family and friends were everything. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. Felicita is the loving mother of Luz, Efrain, Angel, Alejandrina, Juan, Benjamin, and Gilberto Rivera; the stepmother of Carmen and Aida Rivera; the adoring grandmother of 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and the sister of four brothers and six sisters.She was predeceased by her daughter, Candida Rivera. Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Wednesday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Star of Jacob Church, 506 Howard Ave. New Haven, CT followed by a service. Her services will conclude with her interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T Grasso Blvd, New Haven, CT 06519.
