Obituary of Benjamin Miranda

Benjamin Miranda, age 65 of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Friday, July 5, 209 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Carmen Miranda. Benjamin was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, son of Antonia Miranda and the late Pedro Miranda, Jr. 

 

 He was an amazing baseball player & coach of the Lady Reds and an Avid Yankees fan, who never missed a game. He loved to work on computer's and he was quite a handyman. Ben was always a comedian he always tried to make a joke out of everything he did, just to brighten up anyone in the room he was always in. If anybody knew Ben they knew he was A True Genuine Man.

 

Ben was a loving father to his children and a caring grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is the brother of Carmen Martinez, Genny Miranda-Torres, and Maria Rosa. He is also survived by many other family members and friends that will sorely miss him.

Benjamin was predeceased by two sons, Adrian and Gabriel;  and his siblings, Angel Luis Miranda, and Zaida Lacroix.

 

Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019, at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 1 p.m at St. Mary's Church, 25 Sherman St. Bridgeport, CT 06608. His interment will follow.
