Obituary of Rogelio Juan Aponte

Rogelio Juan Aponte, age 48, the beloved son of the late Rogelio Aponte of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico and Elena Gonzalez of Bridgeport suddenly passed into the peaceful and eternal rest of the Lord on June 16, 2019, in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT; Rogelio was born in Newport News, VA but had relocated to the local area many years ago with his family where they have resided since. Rogelio was a good man, with a great heart. His joy was to see those around him succeed as he would be committed to working with them with the natural gifts bestowed onto him in the music genre and some things he learned along the way as he enjoyed bringing to others that which many of us look to at all times in our lives......MUSIC! He was the lead singer to the song "set me free" and was part of the group that recorded the music under the name "Mood Swings" Quadlibet - they were a team during it all..... you can find it all on Itunes and other music streaming services. Many are saddened by the passing of a great guy, that is for sure. Most recently although he enjoyed the music atmosphere and contributed to making the music we enjoy, he was also employed by Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York;  Besides his Parents, He is survived by his son Vincent R. Aponte, Daughters Jaileen Aponte Galindo and Esperanza C. Aponte Quintero; and a host of other relatives and many friends who will dearly miss him as his sudden departure has left so many in awe, yet understanding the will of God is always for the well of those who love the Lord.

Viewing/Visitation/Wake religious service will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, for the public, beginning at 7:00 P.M at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT concluding by 8:00 P.M.

Also, Final viewing will take place on Thursday, June 27, 2019 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home followed by a funeral ceremony which will begin at 11:15 AM. Interment will follow immediately upon conclusion in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Easton, CT.
