Obituary of Angel Ortiz

Angel M. Ortiz, age 60, most recently of Georgia, the beloved son of Evangelina Ortiz of Bridgeport and Jose E. Ortiz, Sr. of Florida, and Stepson of Israel Aponte of Bridgeport,  has passed  into the peaceful rest of the Lord on June 11, 2019, in Georgia;  Angel was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico and had moved to the United States where he resided for many years in the Bridgeport area. Angel was a good man with a big heart.  Recently he told his family he was heading home within the next couple of weeks when suddenly he passed.  Although he is resting with the Lord, the hearts of those who love him are heavy knowing he was returned to God's presence too soon for them to have said goodbye. 

Besides his parents, Angel is survived by his Son, Angel Ortiz, Jr.;   his daughters Sandra Ortiz and Angelique Ortiz;  his brothers Jose E. Ortiz, Jr. (America). and Jorge L. Ortiz (Magdalena)  his sister Sandra Aponte; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren;  and a  host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.  

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT followed by a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 1:00 P.M.   Interment will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery.
