Obituary of William Diaz

William Diaz, Age 62, the son of the late Gregorio Diaz and Epifania Arus of Bridgeport has passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on May 28, 2019 in St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, CT; William was born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the United States at an early age, first to Chicago, Ill and then to CT; Those that knew William they knew his sense of humor was unparalleled; He was the "Fun Uncle" for all his nieces and nephews who William enjoyed spending quality time with whenever he could. He loved singing, dancing and looked forward to family gatherings where without a doubt he was the life of the party. He use to ask his sister to rescue him as his nephews kept bothering him because of his heavy accent and the inability to speak certain words clearly, yet continued doing so, simply to see them smile and laugh. William adored his mom and with never a doubt that the feeling was mutual to that of his mother for him. He had a talent of being an artist and many enjoyed seeing what his mind would create and his hands materialize those thoughts. Truly a God given gift. He could never be replaced and without a doubt a sad loss for those who loved him. In addition to his mother, WIlliam is survived by his siblings Maria Diaz, Wilfredo Diaz, Annie Ortiz, Iris Diaz, Normal Diaz, Luz Ortiz, Julio Oritz and Jose Diaz; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom will feel the void in their hearts as William entered his peaceful rest in the Arms of God; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 4-6 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
