Obituary of Noel Acosta
Noel Acosta, Sr. age 59 of Stratford entered into the tender loving arms of his Lord and Savior on May 15th, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Noel is the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart, Margaret Lozada-Acosta for 42 years. Noel was born on December 2nd, 1959 in Manhattan, NY to Antonio Acosta and the late Sotera Collazo-Acosta. Noel was a life-long resident of Stratford, CT, where he settled with his wife and two children, Noel Acosta, Jr. wife (Omayra) of New Haven, CT and Priscilla Acosta partner (Denise) of Milford, CT. Noel was dedicated to his family and lived very proud of his children. His son, that he lovingly called June graduated from Asnuntuck Community College as a Machinist and also specializes as a Personal IT Consultant and his daughter, that he so lovingly called Nena went to Quinnipiac University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science. Noel was blessed with four beautiful grandchildren that he loved so very much. He will be dearly missed by Kimberly Acosta (24) completed undergrad at UNH, Jasmine Soto (18) now graduating from Bunnell High School, Mikhael Acosta (16) and Marcial Soto (11). He also had a son-in-law (Marcial Soto) and extended family that he cherished and loved very much, Kenneth Soto and Jonathan Tirado. Noel called the Good Shepherd Christian Church his home, where he enjoyed playing his musical instruments, especially the congas. Noel was employed at Park City Adult Daycare as Operations Manager and Supervisor of Transportation for 24 years, he loved his seniors and worked diligently to make their golden years more vibrant and memorable. Noel is survived by four brothers, David Acosta, Daniel Acosta, Israel Acosta and Sammy Acosta. He was predeceased by his sister the late Ruth Alicea, that he helped raise her children, Daniel Alicea, and Kimberly Alicea and Tiffanie Soto. Noel had aunts and uncles that he esteemed greatly and Noel was a Godfather to a host of children. He will also be dearly missed by several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. which will be the Celebration of Life Service. This will all be held DIRECTLY at the Good Shepherd Christian Church, 725 Hancock Avenue, Bridgeport with Rev. Dr. Simon Castillo, Officiating; Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 20th, 2019 beginning at 10:00 a.m..
