Obituary of Luis Antonio Melendez

Luis Antonio Melendez, age 55, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. He was born in Durado, Puerto Rico; son of Hipolita Torres and Cruz Antonio Melendez. Luis is the loving father of Luis Melendez, Thomas Melendez, Nicolas Melendez, Ryan Melendez, Eric Melendez, and Melissa Rodriguez; the caring grandfather of Jaidan Melendez, Emily Melendez, Nicolas Melendez, Joseph Melendez, and two additional grandchildren; and the brother of Maria and Ana Melendez. He is also survived by many other family members and friends that will dearly miss him.  He was predeceased by his sister, Zenaida Melendez. 

Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT;

Funeral Services have been scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2019,  beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 391 Ogden Street Bridgeport, CT 06608.

His Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave. Stratford, CT 06615.
