Obituary of Ana Raquel Ramos Velazquez

Ana Raquel Ramos Velazquez, age 75, of Stratford, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord, on Monday, April 8, 2019, surrounded by love.  She was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico; daughter fo the late Francisco Ramos and Francisca Velazquez.  Ana leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that she shared with everyone she came into contact with, especially her family.  She is the adoring sister of Emerejildo Villavista, Juan Antonio Ramos, Armando Ramos, Ana Awilda Aponte, Luz Medina and Carmen Ramos; and sister-in-law of Margarita Ramos. Ana is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends that will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by her siblings Fabriziano Ramos, Francisco Ramos, Jr., Orlando Ramos, Agustina (Camilo) Torres, Maria (Macario) Del Valle, and Maria Dolores Ramos. 

The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation towards the staff, doctors, and aides that have taken care of Ana throughout the years, and a special thanks to Hewitt Health in Shelton, CT.  Bridgeport and St. Vincent's Hospital for their dedication and care during the past year. 

Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, April 11, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.

A Mass of Christian Burial is Scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2019, beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 25 Sherman Street, Bridgeport, CT 06610.

Her interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave. Stratford, CT 06614.
