Obituary of Kenneth L. McCoy
Kenneth L. McCoy, affectionately known as "Pete", beloved husband of Diana Rivera McCoy, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, at the age of 56.
Pete is the loving father of Diamond McCoy, Anthony R. Jordan, Jr., and Ashley R. Jordan; the devoted son of Betty Ann Golden; the caring brother of Tina Golden, Belmondo Ross and Meloyd Golden; the close-knit nephew of Regina McCoy, Edna McCoy, and Laureen McCoy; and, the best friend of Michael "Mike" Powell, Sr.
Pete graduated from Norwalk High, started working for Man Power, and shortly after entered the Army/National Guard. After leaving the Army, Pete worked for CL&P for nearly 12 years then transferred to SNEW where he worked for more than 15 years before retiring. After retiring, Pete was able to devote full-time to his own businesses.
Pete enjoyed racing, water sports, baseball and all competitive sports and activities. He also loved cooking and watching his friends and family enjoy eating his culinary delights. Pete traveled and lived life to the fullest, leaving behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and beloved friends to cherish his memory.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.
