Obituary of Ignacio Ayala

Ignacio Ayala, age 89, the beloved husband of the Late Guillermina Ayala has passed into the peaceful,  yet eternal rest of the Lord on February 22, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital,  while surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Ignacio was a man who lived for his family, making sure they were doing well, and caring for each and every one of them each day.  He enjoyed watching the Yankees play and being a fan was not optional yet mandatory. He was a skilled dominos player and enjoyed endless events playing with family and friends.  He was employed at Bridgeport Machines where he retired from after many years;  Ignacio along with his wife were very active members of the St. Mary's church family where he was part of the Cursillistas and El Santo Nombre and stopped at nothing to help in the church;  He will be missed by all and forgotten by none!

Ignacio leaves to cherish his memory, one son Luis M. Ayala;  his daughters Carmen Ayala and Iris Ayala (Robert);  one sister Clotilde Ayala;  his grandchildren Roberto Clemente Rodriguez, Sergio Rodriguez, Natalia Rodriguez, Melissa Medina, Jennifer Maldonado & Christina Maldonado; Ignacio was predeceased by his siblings the late Tomas Ayala, the late Juan Ayala the late Julia Torres and the late Iluminada Ayala and one son the late William Ayala;

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave.,  Bridgeport, CT; Funeral Services have been scheduled for Wednesday, February 27, 2019 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home followed by a  Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M.;  Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT;
