Obituary of Edilberto Avila

Edilberto Avila, age 83, entered in eternal rest on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was born in Holguin, Cuba; son of the late Amador Avila and Caridad Fernandez prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Edilberto is the loving father of Idamar Avila and Mayra Molina; the adoring grandfather of Lauren Molina;  great grandfather of Avery Molina; and the caring brother of Carlos Avila of Miami, FL and Javier Avila of Panama. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends that will sorely miss him. Edilberto is predeceased by his wife, Aida Avila; his son, Edliberto Avila, Jr.; and his brothers, Luis and Jorge Avila. Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.

Final Disposition will be held privately and at the convenience of family.
