Obituary of Maria Rivera

Maria Rivera, age 93, Returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Francisco Rivera. Maria was born un Utuado, PR; daughter of the late Pedro Roldan and Cruz Rodriguez prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Maria is the loving mother of Francisco Rivera, Jr., Carmen Rivera, Nilsa Rivera and Edith Ramos Rivera; the caring grandmother of 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Friday, February 8, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 1 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 391 Ogden St. Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06610.
