Obituary of Luz Maria Vega Alvarado

Luz Maria Vega Alvarado, age 66 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. She was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area some time ago; She is the  daughter of Pablo Vega Colon and Aurea Alvarado Guzman ; Luz will be remembered as a dedicated mother, who leaves behind a legacy of love in whomever she met;. She is survived by her beloved Husband Gilberto Vicente; She is the loving mother of Pedro L. Colon, Lillian J. Colon, Ladisla M. Colon, Melissa Vicente,  Yessenia Vicente and Edward Vicente; the adoring grandmother of 6 grandchildren and the caring sister of 13 siblings. Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her burial will take place directly following her service at Mt. Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06604.
