Dear Mrs. Doss: My mother has been gone now for 31 years but for over 30 years before that you were her dear friend. You were always kind and loving to me and my brother Paul. You encouraged me and Bob to bear down on our education when it got tough. For two years you sacrificed your time, energy and gas to drive a half hour each way to pick me up so Bob and I could get tutored in Algebra. You fed us, you talked with us, you scolded us when we needed it. I'm going to miss our trips to Frankie's Diner to celebrate your birthdays. In later years we didn't see each other very often, but when we did it was quality time. You'll always be in my heart.
