Obituary of Rafael Rodriguez

Rafael Rodriguez, age 77, most recently of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico; son of the late Juan Bautista Rodriguez and Obdulia Cheveres prior to relocating to Connecticut many years ago. Rafael is the loving father of Rafael Rodriguez, Jr., Ailleen Delgado, Nancy Batista, and Carlos Batista; the caring grandfather of Talisa Delgado, John Delgado, James Murray, Carlos Batista, Jr., Matthew Batista, Sophie Batista, and Nicholas Batista; and the brother of Luz Nereida Reyes, Gladys Nieves, Margarita Rodriguez, Migdalia Rodriguez, Elsie M. Rodriguez, Ana Iris Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez and Jacinto Rodriguez. He was predeceased by his siblings, Haydee Rodriguez and Antonio Rodriguez. Friends and Family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Families First at Luz de Paz,) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. A service is scheduled directly following visitation. His burial will take place at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley St., Bridgeport, CT 06604.
