Dear Gladys and the beautiful spirit of John,
There are so many memories I can share at this time of sorrow and peace. You two Sotos brought so much flavor to our little MICU, and we will recount stories for years to come. Gladys, you were always a champion for John, never faltering when we gave you pitying looks and delivered bad news. You always stood by John, saying 'this is his show, and I will do what he wants'. You came in every day dressed to the nines, even though exhausted, always with a smile. Your face would light up when you saw his beautiful smile. He always took the time to kiss you good morning meanwhile giving his brunette accompaniments a few winks. He defied us, trying to drink his daily coffee and asking for wine. John doled out advice and listened to our life stories. He'd joke through the pain. He'd smile through his daily lap around the unit. You two opened your house and your hearts to us, and danced the night away. Always vibrant, sincere, and joyous. Know you touched the lives of many. Know I will always remember Mr. John Soto, and you Gladys. Thank you for the time we shared. All my love.
