Obituary of Carmen Maria Rosario

Carmen Maria Rosario, age 77 of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico; daughter of the late Carlos Rosario and Francisca Quinones prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago.  She is the loving mother of Arturo (Isnelda) Mercado, Hector Garcia, Jerry Garcia, Evelyn (Ernesto) Mercado, Lillian Garcia (Johnny Cepeda), Madeline Garcia (Quique Hernandez), Mildred Garcia (Juan Reboira) and Carmen Garcia; the caring grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a daughter the late Carmen Rijos and one Brother the late Benjamin Rosario. Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. A service is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and Carmen's interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06610.
