Obituary of Georgina Aviles Games

Georgina Aviles Games, age 73 of Bridgeport returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Bernardo Games. Georgina was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Felix Aviles and Francesca Arroyo prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is the beloved mother of Miguel A. Muñiz, Jose A. Muñiz, Margarita Medina, Nancy Montanez, and Erica Muñiz; the caring sister of Antonio Aviles; and the adoring grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, William, Wilfredo and Julio V. Muñiz; and her brothers Eiligio Aviles and Santos Aviles. Friends and Family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2018 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Followed by a 11 a.m. Mass at St. Luke's Church, 594 Kossuth St, Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her interment will follow at Park Cemetery 620 Lindley St., Bridgeport, CT 06606.
