Obituary of Maria Silva

Maria Silva, age 39, of Bridgeport passed away into eternal rest on Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT; Maria was born in Long Island, New York but had relocated to the Bridgeport Area many years ago. Maria was part of the After School Lighthouse program where together with her fellow coworkers they worked towards  the care, attention and benefit of the children of  Bridgeport. Maria was full of life and held back nothing to be the best she was at whatever she would do. Maria leaves to cherish her memory her father of Bridgeport; Her daughters Lucia and Emily; her sister Yolanda Esposito; Maria was also survived by her husband Edison Silva; She will be never forgotten in addition by a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2018 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 25 Sherman St.,  Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
