Obituary of Lucy Colon

Lucy Colon, age 90 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor Colon. Lucy was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Victorino Tomasini and Cruz Maria Soto Reyes. She was employed as a housekeeping supervisor at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York for many years before her retirement. Lucy is the loving mother of Gloria Dzerovych and the late Miguel Pellot. She is the caring grandmother of Miguel Pellot Jr., Daina Senatore, Stephanie Buczacki and Mariel Lugo; the adoring great grandmother of Jade Sanchez, Gianna Pellot, Jordan Pellot, Jared Lugo, Mikaila Lugo, Mia Senatore, Emma Senatore, Reese Senatore, Owen Buczacki and Aria Buczacki; and the sister of Jorge Rivera, America Santos, Ana Luisa Rivera and the late Sara Torres, Mercedes Cordona, Heriberto Rivera, Lydia DelValle and Victor Rivera.Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 8, 2018 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 275 Union Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06607.  Her burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery 885 Boston Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06610.
