Obituary of Modesto Vazquez

Modesto V. Vazquez, age 90 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Candida R. Vazquez. Modesto was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico son of the late Juan and Teosila Vazquez prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the loving father of Hector (Elizabeth) Vazquez, John "Cody" (Madeline) Vazquez, Marco Vazquez, Jose (Karen) Vargas, and Rosa Vargas; the adoring grandfather of 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and the caring brother of Julio Vazquez, Petra Montanez, Juana Vazquez, and Christina Vazquez. He is predeceased by his son, Alexander Vazquez and 5 of his siblings. Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Services are scheduled directly after the viewing at the funeral home. His interment will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery 2675 North Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06604.
