Oh buelo how much I miss u :,(....Grandpa was a very special person to many of us....he was a tough cookie with the greatest heart. To abuelo Nolin there was never a no,he always had time for me n my kids and would do anything to make sure we had everything we needed. Grandpa would scare me when he was serious no matter how old I got but deep inside that heart of his was softer that a pillow. My old man helped me when I was going through the toughest time of my life,told me I would be staying with him n gave me love n support,even if I needed compra he would go out his way to make sure me n the kids were good! He was the type to make a mini picnic in the backyard just so me n my sis would go by with the kids n keep him company...the first thing he would do is pull out his guitar n we all knew it was relax time. Grandpa's passion was music and he played to end...always with friends n family and that would make his day. Buelo Nolin never left Buela Sonia side,he was faithful to the end...even the day before he parted I was in the room with grandma n he was so happy singing a song to her...it broke my heart n I knew the end was very close. He died a happy man even after his sickness made him grumpy he still manage to smile n he fought till the end. I will never ever forget u grandpa...u was a good father,husband,uncle,cousin n just a great person to many of us...muuuaahhhzz I know ur resting n in a better place.....

MY UNCLE MANUEL RAFAEL VAZQUEZ {NOLY}, ENTERED ETERNAL LIFE ON 10/11/12. HE FOUGHT CANCER LONG AND HARD. HE WAS A BRAVE MAN WHO NEVER LET FEAR GET IN THE WAY OF THE LIFE HE WANTED TO LIVE. WE HAVE SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES. TIO LOVED HIS
FAMILY DEARLY AND HE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. I'M GOING TO MISS HIS SENSE OF HUMOR AND HIS STORIES. HE WOULD VISIT MY PARENTS HOUSE AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK AND WE WOULD SIT AND TALK OVER COFFEE. HE ALWAYS TOOK PART IN OUR LIVES AND HE WAS THE PILLAR OF OUR FAMILY. NO MATTER WHERE I LIVED HE WOULD ALWAYS LOOK FOR ME. IF I WAS SICK HE WOULD COME HOME WITH HOME REMEDIES OR A CHICKEN FOR SOUP. IF I NEEDED SUPPORT IN ANY WAY HE WOULD BE THERE NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I WILL MISS THE COUNTLESS TIMES WE ENJOYED MUSIC TOGETHER. GROWING UP AROUND HIM WAS SO WONDERFUL… HE TAUGHT ME MANY BEAUTIFUL SONGS THAT I WILL NOW CHERISH IN MY HEART FOREVER. THE LAST ONE I SANG WITH HIM WAS {TE AMARE TODA LA VIDA}; ONE OF HIS FAVORITES. HE ALWAYS CELEBRATED MY BIRTHDAY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. LAST WEEK HE TOLD ME TO COME TO THE HOUSE SO THAT WE CAN SING TOGETHER FOR MY BIRTHDAY, BUT HE ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL. I WENT TO SEE HIM ON THE EVENING OF MY BIRTHDAY. WHEN HE SAW ME THE FIRST THING HE SAID WAS "WHERE IS THE GUITAR"? TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY AND WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE. HE TOLD ME TO GET CLOSE AND HE SAID "I WANT TO GIVE YOU MY LAST BLESSING" HE BLESSED ME AND GAVE ME HIS BEST WISHES…THEN HE SAID SOMETHING THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET "YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL TO ME AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY BABY MY LITTLE GIRL" I FELT LIKE I COULDN'T BREATHE AND I KNEW IN MY HEART THAT HE WAS SAYING GOODBYE. I AM HEARTBROKEN, HE WAS LIKE A SECOND FATHER TO ME. YET, I AM THANKFUL THAT I WAS ABLE TO SPEND TIME WITH HIM AND THAT I DID EVERYTHING I COULD TO MAKE HIM HAPPY. THE PAIN OF LOSING HIM IS GREAT BUT HIS SUFFERING HAS ENDED AND HE IS IN THE GLORY OF GOD. OUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED. TIO NOLY YOU WILL FOREVER LIVE IN OUR HEARTS. WE LOVE YOU! ~MARILYN~

Tio Noly was a brave man who fought cancer long and hard as he continued living large without fear. We will forever cherish the memory of his love and courage. When he passed away he took a piece of our heart with him. Tio, you will live in our hearts forever! We love you...RIP

Tio was a very special man. Reason why we ALL looked after him throughout his time. This man would wake up and visit the whole family in one day if you let him :) he would start locally and end up in NY but that's just the man he was. Always well kept with his "shinny boots" well dressed and his guitar. He would start playing and singing where ever he went and he had special songs he requested to his nieces (Marilyn: Toda una Vida / Viviana: Motivo and so on) BUT THOSE THAT KNEW HIM BEST KNOW WE COULDN'T MENTION "Dame La Mano Paloma" lol that would make him PULL OUT HIS HAIR AND SCREAM! lol He would sit with me and tell me stories of his childhood and his journey through life and we would laugh and laugh... His attitude was always stubborn but you could crack it with a smile and hugs and kisses. BUT WHEN HE SAID NO IT WAS NOOOO! In the time he was in and out the hospital we shared a lot. He would call and ask me to come by or buy him ice cream but the best one was when he called me a saturday morning asking me to get up and get ready to go to the lake with him and the girls. I was like "you sure you can do that?" he said "Que? O vienes a buscarme para ir al lago o me voy SOLO!" I laughed said I'd be there in a minute! lol that day at the lake he played a trick on me pouring water down my back i got up so fast and screamed and he was laughing his butt off! I will miss all those special moments including the late night runs for banana splits from dairy queen! Te amo y te amare siempre! Always in my heart! Tu CACHETONA! BTW I found your cell phone and my name was saved under Viviana la cachetona lmbo!

Primo noli was always without fail to show up on the weekends to pick us up. I know when he walk in the door i hear gim first thing y pipo. Him n my dad were trouble. The best of all saying bendicon him picking me up n rubbing his face on mine. Unshave bc he knew i start to cry even older he do the same without fail though i laugh older. The more i think of his face on mine calling me la nena de titi carmen i m goin to miss all those hugs n him being so silly. I love u as mi tio. Always n forever.
