I was a very close friend to Jayson in fact more than a friend he was more like a brother to me. We shared many happy and good memorable moments together that I won’t forget. Jayson was a long time friend of my son Scott. I met him one time when he came to my house. He made such an impression on me...he was well dressed, handsome, polite, well spoken, had manners, big smile..I think he was on his way to a school dance that night. My heart is so saddened by this tragedy, my heart goes out to all of his family and friends. Be safe baby boy in the arms of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, you will not be forgotten...your loved ones will see you again one day. My baby brother, I can't believe you aren't here with me. I look in the mirror and see your face. I think about all the good and bad times but regardless we had eachother and that was enough. The memories I have with you can't be replaced and nobody will understand my love for you. I wanted to protect you but you wanted to protect me. You would tell mommy " I can't bother jaz because she's working on the right things for us". You knew I wanted to give you the life you deserved. I told you just hang in a little longer till we can be together. I would give up everything right now to have you back with me. Everything I was working for was for you. You wanted to get my name tattooed on your arm as a surprise to me which I found out. You always told me how proud you were of me and I was going to be the one to make it and become anything I wanted to be. I thought you would have to put me to rest one day but maybe God made it this way because he knew you wouldn't be able to let me go. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to hold you and hug you one last time. To Jayson's family and loved ones, know that my prayers are with you all, that the Good Lord give you Strength and Peace through the darkest moment of the night. I have the privilege of knowing Jayson, and one experience really stands out to me and its what gives me Hope and Reassurance that Jayson is in the Presence of His Savior Jesus Christ!!! Of many Sunday morning Childrens Ministry services, there was one that I would like to share with you. The message was about Who's your Super Hero??? I went around the room and the children said, Superman, Batman, Grandpa, Mom, and a few others, when I got to Jayson he didnt want to share if he had a super hero or not, as i began to teach about Jesus and how He was my Hero and how Jesus has brought me through, my child, father, and mother passing to be with Him in paradise and through a major car accident and seven surgeries later, and howJesus continues to bring me through each day no matter how dark it looks. You see Superman had earths Sun for power and strength, but Jesus left us with something greater, the Holy Spirit that gives us Power and Strength and when we feel most alone, the Holy Spirit comforts us!!! BY THE END OF THE MESSAGE, WHEN ASKED WHO WANTS TO MAKE JESUS THEIR SUPERHERO? That young shy boy that didnt share if he had a Super Hero when asked, now raised his hand and immediately stood up without being pushed or told to, and repeated this prayer, " Lord Jesus I believe that you died on Calvary for me, and Rose with Super Powers, forgive me of my sins, thank you for making me your child, now I make you my Super Hero and i invite you into my heart, that your Holy Spirit gives me Power to get through the hardest times in life." I believe with all my heart, that Our God gave Jayson breath, on that cold ground to remember the words that he said that Sunday morning, and when he shut his eyes here, he opened them before his Super Hero Jesus Christ!!! Jayson you have won your race, people dont let his absence here on earth be a great tradegy, do like Jayson did and make Jesus your Super Hero because we arent guaranteed tomorrow!!! I dont know about you, but i want to see Jayson once again and that will be in Glory!!! Till then Jayson, you beat me there!

My heart goes out to his family and close friends. I did not know this young man but like many others his story fell into my hands and touched my heart. May his story continue to reach others, raise awareness and bring our community together as a whole. Another young teen lost too soon and it's so very tragic.
