Obituary of Minerva Maldonado

Minerva Maldonado, age 50, A lifelong Bridgeport resident passed into the eternal peaceful rest of her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, September 27, 2012 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT; Minerva is the daughter of the late Santiago Maldonado and the late Carmen Maldonado; Minerva was an amazing woman who loved the Lord with all her heart and if you ever met Minerva you would never forget her contagious cheerful personality who always impacted anyone she ever came across; She is a graduate of Harding High School Class of 1980; Minerva had been employed for over 10 years at the former Bradlees on Boston Avenue in Bridgeport; Minerva leaves to cherish her memories her brothers Robert (Deidre) Maldonado of West Haven, CT, Ralph (Dalia) Maldonado of Bridgeport, David (Jenny) Maldonado of North Carolina and Daniel Maldonado of Bridgeport who was by her side at all times; her faithful friend Alan Stach of Bridgeport who was also there for her at all times; her nieces and nephews who she would do anything for, Robert Maldonado, Lisa Maldonado, Stephen Maldonado, David Maldonado and Maile Maldonado; and a host of other relatives and friends and Brothers and sisters in Christ that will truly miss her; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 30, 2012 beginning at 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 PM. at the Greater Bridgeport Christian Fellowship Church, 180 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 P.M.; Final Services will take place on Monday, October 1, 2012 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Church followed by interment in Park Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. The Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport has been given the honor by Minerva to conduct final services for her; the families request that Memorial Donations may be made to the Norma Pfriem Cancer Foundation and the American Diabetes Association in her memory.
