Obituary of Genon C. Wofford

Genon C. Wofford, age 87, currently of Bridgeport, CT, passed away into a peaceful rest of the Lord on March 30, 2017 in Bridgeport Manor, Bridgeport, CT. Genon was born in Collinsville, Alabama. but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the beloved son of the late Robert Wofford and Louise Pepper. He is survived by his son David Wofford (Sherry); his daughters Lydia Wofford and Juana Wofford; his grandchildren Logan Wofford, Jordan Wofford, Dallas Wofford, London Wofford, Sydney Wofford, and Aliya Wofford; his dogs Honey, Bronson, and Hattie; and a host of other relatives and friends from Chicago area whom will sadly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 beginning at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
