Dear Arlene and family-We are all so saddened to read Carlos' obituary and wanted to let you know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad and difficult time. He was such a beautiful and fun little boy when he attended school at St. Vincent's and so well loved by all of you throughout his life. The video tribute is beautiful and it was wonderful to see all of the happiness and special occasions that he experienced.
Sincerely, Geri Durnin and all of the staff here at St. Vincent's Special Needs Services.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the family especially Arlene. When God chose you to be Carlos' mother he chose well .A special mother for a very special child. You have been his greatest advocate, always there at his side making sure he had the best of care and as happy and as normal a life as possible. Carlos was happy in this life and achieved high goals. He could speak 2 languages, danced to music he loved, laughed and smiled at things he enjoyed. He loved everyone he met and everyone loved him. He will be sadly missed. One of his most favorite pastimes was watching his favorite movie "The Wizard of Oz" He asked almost every day to see this movie. He would smile and laugh and bob his head to the music. Carlos related to the characters in this magical land. He had a mind that was sharp and responded to people, he had a big heart and loved life, and his courage in the face of his adversities is unquestionable. When Debbie told me he "danced" from this life to the next I thought..how like Carlos! I will think of Carlos and smile...As he is somewhere over that rainbow, dancing along a Yellow Brick Road. For he is off to see his Wizard in that magical land. Thank you Arlene for the privilege of caring for your son-he will forever have a place in my heart.

Words can't express the sadness that is felt in the Hebron house. He was a bright ray of light here. We will miss his beautiful smile, his adorable laugh, his awesome dance moves, his high fives, his sweet hugs.. the list could go on and on. I feel blessed to have been a part of Carlos's life. He made me smile every morning. Gone but never ever forgotten. My love and strength to his entire family to get through this impossible time.

Sending my deepest sympathies to Carlos' family. I worked with Carlos for six years up until his passing. Carlos touched all of our lives deeply. He made coming to work so much fun. He had more personality in him than one could imagine in one person. Carlos is missed terribly but we are comforted to know that Carlos larger than life self is now liberated in the full blessings of heaven.
