Obituary of Israel Olmo

Israel Olmo, age 95, of Bridgeport passed away on January 2, 2017 in his Bridgeport residence. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria Bonilla. Israel was born in Mayaquez, Puerto Rico. He moved to Bronx, NY in 1957 and in 1965 relocated to the Bridgeport, CT area where he resided since. He loved fishing and poker. Despite his tough, no nonsense exterior he had a loving, giving heart who helped all who came to him in need. He is the son of the late Cruz Bonilla. He is survived by his sons Antonio Olmo, and Israel Olmo, Jr; his daughters Brunilda Wagner and Cruz Milagros Criter; his siblings Wilfredo Olmo, Nelson Olmo, and Irene Olmo; fourteen grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren;his dedicated care giver Gloria Perez and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his children, Milton Olmo and Miriam Nunez.
