I remember one winter day that Maria was over at my house. It had snowed a few days before that so, there was snow outside in my yard. Maria, loved my dogs Simba and Romeo. I send them out to the yard and Maria, my mom and I where sitting talking when I remembered that I send the dogs out. Maria said I'll let them in so she opened up the patio door and here comes her favorite my yellow lab Simba. Romeo, wasn't by the door so we figure when he's ready he'll come to the door. We continue to talk then again I realize he's not by the door and it's not like him to be outside that long. So, we all get up and go out to the deck and Maria, my mom and I are calling for Romeo. I walk the whole yard in the snow and no Romeo so, I said to Maria I'm going to go to the front door he probably went under the fence and is sitting outside by the front door. No sign of Romeo there so now I start to panick and run back in the house and tell Maria he's not there. I start crying because my dog is missing and I'm thinking the worst now. I go back to the yard yelling his name Romeo, Romeo and Maria is behind me doing the same. I run out to the front of the house and up the street in tearing calling for Romeo and Maria is yelling at me as am running take it easy he'll show up please calm down. As am half way up the block I hear Maria calling me to come back and she's telling me we found him come back. I'm running back towards the house and I am saying to her Maria please don't lie to me so I could come back. She tells me no it's true your mom found him. Well, Romeo had gone underneath a picnic table that was outside. Since it had plastic over it he got in somehow, but couldn't get out. Thank God my mom decided to look there. After, we are inside and I'm hugging and kissing my dog still crying over him. Maria, goes over to the phone to call her husband. She's telling him to stay put that thank God we found the dog. Maria, had called her husband and her son to come on over and help me find Romeo. After I calm down Maria, my mom and I sat down and started laughing hysterically. Maria, was laughing so much because she said I called my husband and son to help I thought you we were going to have to take you to the hospital if we didn't find Romeo. After that for days Maria and my mom cracked jokes about me crying and how much I love my Romeo. I have so many more fond memories of Maria. She was like a mother to me and I will miss her dearly.

Solo Dios sabe cuanto deseo estar al lado de mi hermano mayor y de mis sobrinos en este momento tan fuerte para ellos. Los tengo en mis oraciones.
