Obituary of Maria C. Ramirez

Maria Ramirez, age 81 of Bridgeport, CT and born in Amalfi, Colombia, went peacefully with the Lord on Sunday April 24th 2016 at St. Vincent's Hospital. She was the caring mother of Luz E. Saravia and adoring grandmother of Alexandra Monsalve and Victor Monsalve. Maria Ramirez loved to play Bingo at SADAS East side senior center, playing the lotto every day and loved going to St. Peter's church every Sunday's. Maria also loved to sing, dance, tell jokes, read the bible, pray the rosary daily and spend time with her family. She was the youngest girl of five siblings- Gustavo, Aura, Margarita, Nena, and Dario. Maria was full of surprises, her native language is Spanish, but sometimes she would come up with words in English that we haven't taught her say like "Thank you, I sick, and pajamas" etc. On Sunday's Maria passed out prayers and made people laugh when she taught people to say "God Bless you", instead of "Thank you. Thank you for being a good friend, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. May your soul rest in peace and may God bless you always. You will always be forever in our hearts! We are all going to miss you but no worries We will see you very soon, our guardian angel! I love you grandma, thank you for always being such a wonderful and loving person! A Memorial Mass has been scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church, 695 Colorado Ave, Bridgeport, CT. A burial of ashes will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT.
