Born on November 28, 1925 in Isabela, Puerto Rico, Isabel was one of 14 children. She married Tomas Rosa in 1944, and together they moved to Bridgeport, Conn., from Puerto Rico in January 14, 1952, with their two sons, making her a resident of Bridgeport for 64 years. Besides attending her church, Isabel loved to sing, cook delicious Puerto Rican meals, read her Bible and spend time with her family. She also attended the Park City Adult Daycare Center in Bridgeport. After 65 years of marriage, her husband Tomas passed away in 2007. Isabel also had a daughter, Ivette Rosa, who passed away from pneumonia at one-and-a-half years old. The family would like to give a special ‘thank you’ to the second and fourth floor staff and medical personnel of the Northbridge Health Care Center, in Bridgeport, for their amazing care. They would also like to thank Rita Curcio, of Park City Daycare, for her kindness and care. They would lastly like to recognize and thank Rosita Rivera, for her exceptional in-home care.
