Obituary of Jose M. Montalvo

Jose M. Montalvo, age 74, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Martha E. Montalvo. Jose was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico; son of the late Dionisio and Hermania Montalvo. He was employed by GBT for many years as a Dispatcher and Supervisor prior to his retirement. Jose is the loving father of Margie Acevedo, Felipe Cornier, Javier Montalvo, Edgardo Montalvo, Pedro Montalvo, Manny Montalvo, Adrian Montalvo, Irma Rosa Montalvo, Joann Montalvo, and Lisa Montalvo; and the caring brother of Pedro Montalvo, Dionisio Montalvo, Candida Montalvo, Carmen Montalvo, Prudencia Montalvo, Margarita Montalvo, and Maria Montalvo. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and other family members who will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Funeraria Luz de Paz from 5 pm to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 399 Washington Avenue. Bridgeport, CT 06604.
