Obituary of Rene Polanco

Rene Polanco, age 78, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in his home. Rene was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area long time ago. He had been employed for General Electric for many years before retiring. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Margarita Valderrama; his sons Rene Polanco, Jr. and Edward Valderrama; daughter Carmen Valderrama; his grandchildren Tiffany Valderrama, Jayden Valderrama, Raritan Valderrama, Erin Valderrama, Shayla Valderrama, Lisette Polanco, Rene Polanco III, Jamila Vegas, Irving Gonzalez, Fernando "Freddie" Gonzalez, Angelique Carawlanis, Shannon Carawlanis; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his daughter Blanca Carawlanis. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. at St. George's Church. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
