Obituary of Carlos N. Cruz

Carlos N. Cruz, age 84 of Stratford, entered into eternal rest suddenly at Bridgeport Hospital on Friday, January 29, 2016. He is the beloved husband of Dilia Cruz. Carlos was born in Ambato, Ecuador to the late Carlos A. Cruz and Rosario Flores prior to relocating to the USA. He studied at a seminary school run by the monks of St. Francis of Assisi he was also a school teacher and catechism teacher in Ecuador prior to moving to the United States in 1974. He worked many years in manufacturing, but his true joy in life were his grandchildren, who put a sparkle in his eye. He is the loving father of Carlos J. Cruz and Delia Russell; and the adoring grandfather of Brandon Russell, Daniella Russell, and Gabriella Cruz. He is also survived by his sisters Olga Neira and Lucrecia Cruz; and many other relatives and friends that will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, February 5 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.
